Martial arts and yoga are each complementary practices that fill in where the other let off, a synergy with interconnecting techniques, breath practice, movements, and intention that intermesh with a Yin/Yang precision. He suggests some moves that support fighters. “I’m known within yogic, martial and healing circles as a highly achieved athlete and healing-warrior practitioner.” Here are a few yoga poses along with how they’ll increase martial arts ability and power. 
The Low Lunge Pose demands a strong sense of balance combined with a certain degree of openness in the legs, hips, and groin. It is deceptively easy looking yet very complex. It stretches groin, quads, hamstrings, and glutes, helping to prevent injuries.
The plow pose is an amazing advanced backstretch that releases neck, head, shoulders, upper and lower back, preventing overuse injuries, helping heal chronic tightness and pain.
Plank is a powerful core strength exercise that activates the body’s muscles, strengthening core, wrists, minimizing injuries, and improving balance. It also strengthens the muscles surrounding the spine, which improves posture. This core strength contributes to explosive power..
Cobra poses deeply strengthens long back muscles, reducing the chance of injury there, while increasing power for punches, relieving stress, opening lungs, and heart, relieving tightness and strengthening neck muscles and power-amping glutes.
Triangle pose is one of the first yoga poses taught in asana practice, it will not come easy to everyone.
Triangle reduces the chance of injury by strengthening ankles and knees, stretching out thighs, hips, groin, hamstrings, spine, chest, and shoulders.
Shavasana or ‘Corpse Pose'
This pose is the easiest, as well as the ultimate in relaxation and calming. It’s great to do after an intense event suddenly leaves you with a fist in the face and a bloody nose. Shavasana relieves stress, (See?!) lowers blood pressure, relaxes the brain and body, leaving the martial artist more resistant to the chance of injury.
